![]() There’s details that I’ve picked up this session, plot/character-wise and especially thematically. I appreciate how subtle this movie chooses to be, and while I could understand there being confusion since it is more show, not tell (the greatest and cleverest way to convey ideas in this medium), it feels intentionally disorienting and plays a part in the experience. ![]() I still need to process, but it may be my favorite Miyazaki film? If not, it is inches close to the levels of mastery of “Spirited Away”. I love this film even more on second viewing. “I see no point in living if I can’t be beautiful.” - Christian Bale, best line in the movie.
